Duty / Shift Manager

A high-end boutique resort has a full-time position available. Must be available for both early starts and late shifts (split shifts).

Tasks include:
- Assess staff needs and allocation for reservation, reception, room service and housekeeping activities
- Liaise with manager to coordinate with other business units
- Maintain staff records including rosters and leave records
- Communicate and oversee safety regulations
- Manage the areas under your supervision and be proactive in suggesting improvements to guest experience
- Communicate with staff to help resolve challenges
- Perform front office and hotel reception duties

Applicant requirements:
- At least a Bachelor degree
- At least one year experience in Australia in a top-end boutique resort with impeccable guest service standards that involves direct experience across resort functions including reservations, front-desk, spa and leisure facilities, restaurant staff co-ordination, senior management and security
- An outgoing personality with superb presentation skills
- Live nearby or be able to relocate at short-notice
- Highly-developed software skills
- Written and oral communication skills to a very high standard
- Available for early starts and late finishes including split shifts
- Experience resolving guest service issues and dealing with international guests
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a proactive manner
- Hands-on guest management experience with guest-management including security, health and compliance issues.
- Must have spa set up and treatment knowledge
- Be a confident driver to drive high-value cars and have a driving licence with no demerits
- Employment experience training other employees in all hotel functions.
- Ability to work overtime - particularly on scheduled days off
- Demonstrated competence to run a hotel single handedly
- Experience in purchasing and accounting functions to ensure the hotel runs smoothly.
