THE ROLE
Reporting to the Industrial Sector Manager, the main duties of the Structural Engineer include, but are not limited to the following:
? Project engineering and providing technical expertise to team
? Planning and delivery of projects to satisfy the Quality Assurance standards, budgetary requirements and project briefs
? Coordination with team members to ensure that all aspects of the project are assembled in a timely manner and that there is open communication between team members regarding modifications and developments
? Responsible for the completion of required activities to deliver projects including investigation, analysis and design in accordance with accepted practice and principles
? Liaising with clients along side the Principal Engineers to ensure the successful delivery of projects
? Assisting with marketing initiatives, providing bid support and ongoing development of the Structural/Civil Team
? Complete structural design work and review existing structural designs
? Prepare and review technical reports
? Work with the Structural Draftspersons to assist in completion of design works meeting deadlines
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
As a result of significant recent projects being awarded to the group they offer outstanding career opportunities to experienced consulting design engineers at Senior and Intermediate Engineer level. You will have a background in industrial/building structural engineering consulting and >4 years experience working in a consulting engineering practice involved in design of intelligent industrial building engineering solutions.
Naturally, you need to be IEAust qualified, up to date with appropriate Australian design codes and standards and enjoy working across a wide variety of projects at any time. Although the position is based in the company's Hobart offices you will required to travel to sites for client consultation and contractor meetings.
