This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to step into a role with a large and established resource company with operations throughout Australia and the opportunity to build on their skills and develop their career.Servicing the Mining and Resources industry; you will tender, bid and estimate on Large Scale Contract Mining Projects. You will need experience as an Estimator in the Mining and Resources industry. As part of this role some of your responsibilities and day to day duties will include:
- Planning, managing and coordinating the resources involved in the preparation of specific tender submissions
- Ensuring that successful tenders are presented to the Operations such that effective cost control can be planned and maintained
- Assisting with project acquisition and development
- Preparing plant rates for tenders
- Assessing maintenance costs
- Preparation of cost profiles
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in either Civil or Mining engineering together with open cut mining experience or underground mining experience
- Broad experience with a variety of mining methods and equipment
- Sound analytical and numerical skills
- Strong communication skills
- High level of Computer literacy, particularly advanced spreadsheet skills
- Demonstrated skill in organization, time management and ability to work to deadlines
- Appreciation of production and operating costs associated with mining processors
